TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The following terms and conditions refer to private print orders and private commissions only.

1) SERVICE ALTERATIONS & UPDATES
"Team Caricatures" and “Bill Houston Creative Ltd” (from here on referred to as "T.C."), reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of sale, fees, and remove any item or service from sale without prior notice.

2) COPYRIGHT ISSUES (ALL ARTWORKS)
The Team caricature design(s) and print product(s) remain the copyright and property of Bill Houston and Bill Houston Creative Ltd, AT ALL TIMES. The Team image and any additional artwork designed and produced by "T.C" may not be copied/altered and reproduced on any other items in any media whether physical or digital without actual written permission from "T.C.", and such actions/activities may also incur a licencing fee and legal contract to be made. Prints may be copied in whole purely for advertising purposes within related magazines/catalogues/brochures in order to advise the general public as to the availability of said items.

Individuals and/or organisations found using and/or reproducing any artwork produced by "T.C." without prior contract of agreement signed by both parties will be prosecuted Under the full extent of UK and International law.

3) FRAMES AND PICTURE MOUNTS (PRINTS and PRIVATE ARTWORK COMMISSIONS)
All artworks and prints are supplied without picture mounts and are unframed.

4) REFUNDS (ALL ARTWORKS and PRINTS)
All items, including original artworks, are non-refundable.

5) PRINT ORDERS & PAYMENT OPTIONS, U.K. and INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
"T.C." welcomes international orders. All payments must be made in UK Pounds Sterling ONLY. Payment can be made by PERSONAL CHEQUE or securely over the internet via PAYPAL. Customers wishing to place an order for prints that would prefer to pay by any alternative method (cheques, moneygram etc) should contact "T.C" by email or telephone prior to sending any funds. Goods cannot be dispatched TO ANY CUSTOMER unless payment (including shipping costs) has been received in full.

6) DELIVERY TIMES FOR PRINTS (PRIVATE ORDERS)
UK print orders are normally dispatched with 14 working days (allowing for stock) upon payment clearance using the postal services as stated under the menu sub-heading "Postage and Shipping". Proof of postage will be obtained for all items sent. Exact delivery times outside the UK may vary.

7) CUSTOMS CHARGES (PRINTS and PRIVATE ARTWORK COMMISSIONS)
Customers may be liable to additional charges by individual countries customs/tax departments at destinations outside the United Kingdom. "T.C." has no authority and assumes no responsibility for any of these charges made to the customer. It is the customers responsibility to ensure that these extra charges are settled with the appropriate bodies.

8) ARTWORK DEVELOPMENT PROCESS and PAYMENT (ALL ARTWORKS)
After the initial enquiry has been received from the customer, written details and photographic reference material will discussed and collected by "T.C" from the customer for use in the creation of the commissioned artwork. Once all the data has been collected and the basic layout and details of the artwork has been agreed in writing via email, a final quote will be provided to the customer, and a deposit equal to 50% of the total artwork fees must be made before project start. Once the funds have been received and cleared, then a design sketch will be produced and sent to the customer for approval. The customer may request alterations to the design at this point. Once the design has been approved and the go ahead for the final artwork has been received in writing by email, then work will commence on the artwork proper. On completion of the artwork, a preview will be sent via email to show the customer that work is complete. The outstanding balance for the artwork (plus shipping costs) should then be paid in full prior to dispatch & delivery of the artwork. Alterations to the final colour artwork requested after the initial design sketch has been approved and the artwork is underway may be possible but may also incur an additional charge. The customer will be advised if this is the case, and payment for any additional work required must be settled in addition to the original outstanding balance and shipping costs before artwork is delivered.

9) PERSONAL UPSET, EMOTIONAL/MENTAL STRESS and DAMAGE DISCLAIMER (ALL ARTWORKS)
CARICATURE PORTRAITS, BY NATURE, OFTEN FOCUS ON THE PERSONAL, PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF AN INDIVIDUAL. THE ARTIST, BILL HOUSTON, THE COMPANY "TEAM CARICATURES" and "BILL HOUSTON CREATIVE LTD" NOR ANY THIRD PARTY PRINTERS and THEIR EMPLOYEES USED FOR THE PRODUCTION OF PRINTED COPIES OF ANY ARTWORKS WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PERSONAL UPSET OR OFFENCE TAKEN BY THE PRODUCTION OF A PERSONALISED CARICATURE ARTWORK. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER MAKING THE ORIGINAL ORDER TO NOTIFY THE ARTIST OF ANY AREAS THAT ARE LIKELY TO CAUSE OFFENCE REGARDING THE CARICATURE PORTRAIT OF ANY INDIVIDUAL TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE PAINTING.

10) PAYMENT OPTIONS (ALL ARTWORKS)
Payment should be made in UK Pounds Sterling only. Payment can be made by personal cheque or securely over the internet via PayPal. Full details for the making of payments will be provided to the customer along with the final quote for the artwork commission.

11) SHIPPING PRICES FOR ORIGINAL ARTWORK
Shipping prices for original artworks to all destinations including the UK are as stated in the link "Postage and Shipping". Delivery details will be arranged and shipping costs confirmed with the customer prior to providing the final artwork quote.

12) PRIVACY: CUSTOMERS CONTACT DETAILS, PHOTOGRAPHS AND REFERENCE MATERIAL
Any photographic material of persons lent by the customer for use as reference by "T.C" during the production of a caricature artwork may be copied electronically and kept as reference. Customers photographs will not be reproduced and displayed in public for any reason (including advertising) unless permission has been obtained in writing (not email) from the owner. Copies of customers photographs will neither be lent or sold to any 3rd party individual or organisation whatsoever. Copies of customers photographs may be used in the artist's personal portfolio for the use of private viewing by potential clients.

ALL CONTACT DETAILS (POSTAL ADDRESSES, EMAIL ADDRESSES, TELEPHONE NUMBERS), WILL BE KEPT ON RECORD FOR A MAXIMUM PERIOD OF 12 MONTHS/FOR THE DURATION OF ANY PROJECT (WHICHEVER IS THE LONGER TIME PERIOD) PURELY FOR USE BY "T.C." CUSTOMERS CONTACT DETAILS WILL NOT BE FORWARDED ONTO ANY THIRD PARTY OR RELEASED FOR PUBLIC VIEWING FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER.

13) RETURN OF REFERENCE MATERIAL
All original reference material, photographic or otherwise, will be returned to the customer along with the completed artwork.

14) PRODUCTION MATERIALS
All original artwork is produced digitally unless specifically requested by the customer. Original artworks can be produced on high quality water colour paper, and is created by hand using water-colour. The cost for an original piece of artwork is £45 per head. All prints are produced on good quality glossy paper, and measure 297mm x 420mm.

Standard Airmail (Printed Papers) used for all overseas orders unless requested otherwise by the customer.
